Childrens parade!

Jayson and his cousins excited before the parade. They should be my friend and I were up till all hours decorating four scooters. What we do for our kids.

As you can see Jayson is with the girls. He was having fun following them and doing his cool tricks in front of them. What a little show off. I thought it was sure cute of him.

He was so excited with his new hair shaved into his fo hawk. I am nice and will let him keep it until the fifth. We will see what it looks like tonight after the color is out. I colored it this morning while all of it was long and decided to shave the sides. It should be interesting.

Jaysons New belt

My son just got his new belt on Friday. He is now a blue belt. Here are some pictures from Friday.
This is the horse stance they had to do it for several minutes. It really hurts your legs after awhile. It promotes great strength and good attention.

I love how intense his face is here.
The L here with his old and new belt represent loyalty to the martial arts and to the school.

We are still struggling with how to tie our belt. So we had Mr Mikki help. We sure love him.

Jayson wants to be like Mikki and get his black belt and become and instructor. I am so proud of him and his hard work. I just has to share this with everyone.

Rodeo Queen

We went to Richfield yesterday and got to watch my sister compete for rodeo queen. It was fun I had never been to one. Basically they are beauty pageants/ horse back riding. It was awesome. She got rodeo queen. She got the beautiful saddle that matches her riding gear. Here are some pictures.

Ok so it has been awhile since I last posted. I need to post about disneyland and Jayson baptism. And well Jayson has another Karate tournament this weekend lol. I am on a computer for eight hours a day at work so the last thing I feel like doing is playing on the computer but man I need to stay caught up with this. I figure I try and get on face book and that seems to be where I post more. well just wanted to let anyone still reading I am going to try it again. lol

Karate Tournament

I have been sick and have not felt like blogging much for the last couple of weeks. And I am so busy with work so who knows when I will blog again. Infact I might be getting managers position. Anyways on November 7th it will be Jaysons second karate tournament. It will be up in salt lake as soon as I know more I will let you know the details. I want you all to come if you can.

Reflections Contest!

So I have decided to help my son do the reflections contest this year at school. He is doing photography because its what I know. And he has always had an interest in it. The theme this year is "Beauty it" pretty easy right . Well I have some ideas in my head and told him to be thinking about what is beautiful to him. It can be up to 11x14, i think i can't find the paper work at the moment. So I was thinking in the middle a 5x7 of his favorite picture and then some small ones as a border around the edge would be pretty cool. Tomorrow I am taking him up into the mountains and letting him use my camera to take some pictures. To bad I don't have a professional camera that would be awsome. I will be awsome anyways. I would love some feed back on what beauty is to you and how you would do this.

Jayson Update

So I thought I would update on my little one. He has been doing good in school so far. I work so much that I don't have much time for homework and I feel bad for that. My mom and friend have been really good at getting homework done. He is doing awsome in Karate, so my mom tells me. I have been working so much that I have missed out on homework and Karate it kind of sucks ok not kinda it really sucks. I miss seeing my child and being a mom. But he is doing well no more calls from school. We also got a new kitten. I will post pictures when I can move off the couch. Yeah I am so tired that I came home tonight and kind of have not moved. I am so tired that I can't even get up to go get my pills and go to bed so here I am plopped down on the couch and feeling pretty ok with it lol.

long school year

Ok so down below I mention how its going to be a long school year because of the homework thing. Oh no it will be a long school year because he has already gone to the principals. Today I get a call from basically the detention teacher. He was talking to much in class and being disruptive. We had this problem in first grade, second grade was so good not one call from the school other than when he was sick. I was hoping this school year would be good too. We have only been in for a week and already its starting. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh i really just want to scream. Well I will keep you guys posted.

Nothing better than the Olive Garden

Yesterday I had a great lunch. I love the Olive Garden and have been craving it forever, so thank you aunt Cynthia. Krystal had to leave back to Boise yesterday so before she went to the airport we went and had lunch. It was fun to have lunch with the girls. I love my family the only thing that would have made it better would have been to have my mom and Kamille there. Come back soon Krystal.

I have a new camera so here is some picture of my tomatoes. I only have three but am excited because its my first producing plant. I hope to be able to blog, but now my computer is acting up so we will have to see. I also missed the first day of school pictures because i didn't have a camera. I will be taking pictures of this event this week even though it won't really be the first day of school. Years from now who will remember it wasn't really the first day right. I am so mad. Some how an otter pop got melted next to my camera and its ruined. So needless to say I can't take pictures and Post. I will just have to describe things until I come up with money for a new camera. So a few post back I took pictures of my tomato plant. I know have three tomatoes on my plant two are about the size of cherry tomatoes and one is just a bit bigger than that and it has a few blossoms. I am excited to have tomatoes. Hopefully I can get a camera before they turn red so I can take pictures of my first tomatoes and scrapbook them.

Im still Alive

My cousin Krystal emailed me to make sure I was still alive since I have not blogged or commented in awhile so I thought I better blog lol. I have been so busy at work this week finishing training so I could work buy myself last thursday. It was stressful and I could still use more training. Then thursday night after work we (mom, dad, Jayson and I) drove down to Richfield for a fun field jeeping weekend. My weekend was great other than my mom and dad were sick. Friday I went on a trail that was way to hard for my vehicle and my mom had to pull me up some hills and drag me around but it was fun. I now have to add a sticker to my jeep that say "Chicks dig body damage". Yeah I added a few dents to my jeep. Then Saturday we went on a trail that was a little more my jeeps capability. I did one hill that they had never seen and open(not as moddified) jeep go on, it made me feel good. Anyways I will have to get the pictures from my mom and find a camera to take some pics of my new dents. Oh yeah my camera broke on this trip so I am majorly bumed. What kind of a photographer am I without a camera lol. Well I am alive and all is well.

This is what happens when you get a bunch of single moms together on a holiday. We decided to have a bbq and watch fireworks with 3d glasses on. It was a blast. The girl holding the baby really isn't a single mom, her husband was at work so she got to join us for a fun girls night in. We ended up watching Coraline(Tim burtons creepy movie) and talking until three in the morning. I can't remember the last time I got to be a kid and giggle and laugh so much.

I had lunch with some of my childhood friends today it was fun. We took our kids to a park and had sac lunches (ok two had sac lunches two had mcdonads lol). It was great to see them. We have pretty much known eachother since we were five and dare I say it we are all now thirty. It was fun watching our kids play together knowing we were once that young playing together. We are all pretty local but do you think we get together very often of coures not. We talked about husbands, kids and work is there anything else in life lol. I love my friends and hope we all get together more often and soon.

Seriously I can never grow plants. I have killed cacti, bamboo, tomato, and anything that my son brings home from school. My son has told me not to touch his plants because I will kill them. So this is were the bragging comes in. I finally have blossoms on my tomato plant. I could have planted my tomato plant in the ground but I have a dog and and who knows what other stray animals are lurking. So I bought the hangy plant thing. So far I am impressed with it. Anything that I can grow something in must be pretty good lol. So that is my little brag for today.

This is Megan. Her and Jayson have grown up together. We are working on having a double baptism.

This is Makena. She is quiet and shy and was the hardest to get to smile.

This is Mara. They moved away shortly after she was born. She is so accepting and loving that she gave me hug the first time she met me, as if she had known me her whole life. I am glad they have moved back and I get to see these beautiful girls more.

I got a new job

I am so excited. I have been needing to find a better job since mine breakup. Jay and I went to a portrait studio a few months ago to get our photos done and I was talking to the manager about how I use to work in a studio and loved it. She told me to apply this fall when she was hiring. I went in to pick my photos up and she had me fill out an application. Today was my first day. For the next two weeks I will be working both jobs and then after that I get work at a photo studio yeah its practically the job of my dreams. Maybe some day I can take it to the next level and do shutes out side the studio.

Zoo

We went to the zoo on Saturday and had such a good time. The weather was ok which was surprising. On our drive up to salt lake it was raining pretty hard. Then when we arrived at the zoo it quit raining it was great. The kids had a great time. We were heading to the train and it down poured which was when we were leaving anyways. It was a great day. Guess who started Karate

I did an Oh my heck i am so sore. Last month they let the moms go to karate for free for mothers day. The head of the school talked me into staying. He could see I needed it to take away my stress with everything. Master Lawrence is one of the most amazing guys I have ever met. He is my teacher and his son Mikki Lawrence is an awsome man as well he teaches my sons class. Anyways back to me lol. This class teaches karate, kick boxing and self defence. Oh my heck it totally kicked my butt and I get to do it again tomorrow. I am loving it.

Yellow Belt

I am so proud of my little man. Even in this hard time in his life he still pushes his way through and shows how strong he is. He got his yellow belt today. This is an exciting event. On top of the physical strengths of karate they work on the mind. Right now he has to memorize a poem: Everything in life is what you make it, its not what is that counts, its how you take it. I thought this is so appropriate for our lives.

I got my new home. It is so cute. They let you paint so I painted my cupboards. One of my walls they painted an accent color. I thought it was going to be a sage green but it turned out to be a mint color. Its in the kitchen so I have added brown colors so it is a mint chocolate chip ice cream colored kitchen. I will be posting pictures when I can find my SD card. I am making it a cute home. I want to say a great big thanks to my mom, dad, aunt Cynthia and uncle Kreg. While I was at work Saturday they went to Scotts house picked up my big furniture and brought it to my apartment so thank you.

Apartment II

So I have found an apartment. It is pretty cute. Its a flat so I have no one above me and no one below me. Its an end unit so I am only connected on one side. The good thing is they will let me keep my dog. That was a big thing for me he is seven and I didn't want to have to get rid of him. It kind of has its own yard so we can hang in it. I can plant flowers around it. Not that I could keep them alive but I can plant them. I am just waiting for them to get my work verification so cross your fingers. It had a cute kitchen that is a decent size. The living room is big enough to have two couches in it so that will be nice. Jaysons room is big enough that he can have his double bed that he got for christmas. My bedroom has a sliding glass window and is big enough for about a queen. I am getting excited so cross your fingers that I am approved for it. Oh the kitchen and living room are big enough that I can have people over for scrap booking hint hint for all you locals and well all you out of towners are more than welcome to come buy. Oh yeah I forgot to mention it haas a swimpool and a clubhouse so we can have family summer parties.

So my cousin did a beautiful tribute to mothers that I in no way can match. Her blog page is our happy family. I love this picture of my mom, me and my sister. It is such a fitting picture. Its three years old so keep that in mind. Anyways I have to say I love my son. I love being a mother. He is what keeps me going everyday. Life is not always easy as you all know but lately life has been really hard and it is my sons smiling face that keeps me going. The other day we were driving to school and I put my hand on my center console of my car and my son reached down and grabbed my hand. It was so sweet I nearly cried. I love being a mother I have the smartest sweetest son and I hope he never grows out of it. Now on to the reason I am hear is my mother. She is such a great woman. When I am crying and falling apart she still wraps her arms around me and holds me and tells me she loves me. She is a strong woman who has taught me and my sister how to be independent and to love. My mother is such an awsome women. I gave her a candy jar with a sang on it that says "Well behaved women rarely make history". This is my mother she could make a history with how awsome she is and how well she has taught us children. From what I have heard of my grandmother she was the same way. My moms mom helped build apartments while she was pregnant. She was a strong hard working woman who loved to throw dinner parties. I come from a line of strong woman and have many strong woman in my life. I want to wish all of them a happy mothers day.

Ok so looking for an apartment on my salary really sucks. Thank goodness my parents are at least letting me stay here for now. I have a dog so that makes things harder. I have two dogs and a cat acctually but I will be getting rid of one of my dogs and the cat. Jayson is heart broken over his cat but I have to do what I have to do. I refuse to get rid of one of my dogs. I have had him for seven years he is like a second son, Jayson even calls him his brother so he will have to stay with me. So I have been staying with my mom due to troubles at my house. Anyways for the last two weeks I have woken up at five am. Can I tell you that is way to early for me. I don't usually wake up until six thirty or seven. I also hate birds chirping at five in the morning. My thought turned to Still Magnolias yesterday as I heard the birds chirping. Karate Tournament

He did great. He had two performances one in form and self defense. He got a gold medal in forms and he got a silver medal in self defense. He was so excited. We all were. My mom and Aunt Cynthia came. His primary teachers also came to show there support I thought that was awsome. There was a friends and family event too. We had to do a kick and a punch and we got medals as well. So Jayson ended up having three medals. We had fun and have six months to get ready for the next one. I am so a Karate mom lol.

Space Derby

Jayson had his first space derby last Wednesday. My mom was great she helped him put his rocket together after I had forgotten about it and had to work. It was fun. His rocket never made it to the finish line but it did make it off the finish line. There was a few that did not make it off the line. I cant believe my baby is in Scouts. I know nothing about scouts so this should be fun learning it with him. Between Karate and Scouts we keep quite busy around our house.

Karate Mom

So I need to blog more. I am going to try keeping it more up to date. I have become a Karate mom. I signed Jayson up in January through UVU community classes. Then we signed him up for the black belt program, five years. He has ADHD so focus and self control are not his strong point. But in karate he is amazing he has awsome focus and self control. Our goal is to become a black belt by the time Jayson is in junior high. I say our goal, well because just like everything with kids it is work for the parents. He goes to Karate twice a week and then is suppose to practice daily at home. His first tournament is this Saturday and we are so excited for it. He still makes mistakes in his routine and is unsure of this weekend. I remind him its OK to make mistakes because he is still learning and the most important thing is for him to have fun. Well I think I have rambled enough. I will be back to post on the tournament.

Halloween

Anyone else getting excited about halloween. My son has decided he is going to be Harry Potter. He is at the age where he is reading Harry Potter and is no longer afraid of the movies. As for me we I am dressing up as a witch. We are having a witches night out. There is a place called Gardner Village and they are throwing a party for witches. I am so excited. Our house is all dressed up with Ghosts hanging in the tree. A haunted house sign hanging on the door with tape that says beware. And Ghost hanging in our front window. Anyways just wondering if I am the only Halloween nut out there lol.
